Kyoka is perfectly happy being single as is her father, Rintaro, a forlorn widower who lost his beloved wife, Yoko, to cancer. One day as the two clean house, they stumble upon a divorce form signed by Yoko. Shocked and reflecting on this revelation, Rintaro at age 63 decides it’s time to start over and find himself a life partner. And he challenges Kyoka to do the same. 岐阜にイジュー!

Two girls of thirtysomething, Miharu and Hana, were living in different urban cities spending dull days. Tired of such lives and hoping to rebuild their lives, they come up with the idea of moving to countryside and live together. They put it into practice but with no specific plans. The destination they picked up was “Shirakawa-Go”, which is famous area for its natural heritage sites in Gifu prefecture! …but by mistake, they arrive in a very small town which faces the declining population problem, named “Shirawaka-cho”. Though it’s not a famous city, there’s beautiful scenery of nature with mountain, river, paddy field and tea plantations. Miharu and Hana are moved by that beauty and they determine to settle down there by first sight. Now their new life starts, but gradually they come to find that living in rural is not only fun thing; there’re specific rules they can’t understand with urban common sense and it makes them shocked. However, they get into the life with people there, attracted deeply by its charm…


都会(東京と名古屋)暮らしの冴えない日常を送っていたアラサー女子ふたりが、これまでの人生をリセットして新天地で再スタートと、勢いだけで田舎移住を決める。彼女たちが選んだのは、世界遺産で有名な岐阜の白川郷、…ではなく、あんまり知られてない岐阜県白川町。すぐ近くに山も川も田んぼも茶畑もあり、自然の美しさに一目惚れしてしまう二人は、訪れたその日に移住を決意。こうして女ふたりの岐阜イジュー(移住)生活が始まる。しかし、現実の田舎暮らしは楽しいだけではない。都会のルールが全然通用しないことに、ふたりはカルチャーショックを受ける。それでも、先輩移住者や地元の人たちと接していくうちに白川町という田舎の魅力(魔力)にハマっていく…。

Love Stories from Fukuoka 6 (福岡恋愛白書6)

An omnibus love-story drama series produced once a year by KBC in Fukuoka. The stories are all based on real life experiences of viewers in Fukuoka. Young popular actors, including the members of AKB48, play the main roles and some actors/ celebrities/ sports players who are associated with the Kyushu area in various ways appear in the drama as well.
As an additional appeal, since this drama is shot in Kyushu, mainly Fukuoka, viewers can recognize many famous sightseeing spots in each episode.

Love Stories from Fukuoka 6 - Episode1: Distance of Strap -
Misaki (Hazuki Tsuchiya) starts attending high school and falls in love with a boy (Yuki Hashiguchi) commuting on the same train who is a senior at her school. He always takes the same train and stands grasping the same strap every morning. One year passes without any conversation, and he graduates. That winter, Misaki misses the train and finds him on the next train. He is standing in the same position. At last, Misaki starts to make approaches to him. Each day, she shifts the strap one by one to get closer to him.

Love Stories from Fukuoka 6 - Episode2: Fireworks Bridge -
Kumiko (Mariko Shinoda) lives alone in Kurume City. News arrives that her father has been hospitalized with cancer. Lying on the bed, he orders Kumiko to "Bring your boyfriend," but Kumiko has no lover. Kumiko goes to a matchmaking party and meets Tsuda (Daisuke Kikuta), who is three years younger than her. When Kumiko is invited on a date, she asks Tsuda to meet her father. "Did you go out with me to reassure your father?" Kumiko cannot answer. The separate emotions of the three characters are united by the memory of a fireworks festival at the Chikugo River.
